CAREER READINESS PROGRAMS in MCPS

career readiness

MCPS groups careers into 11 different clusters. These career clusters will help direct you toward focused programs of study with high school plans to help you choose courses that align with your future goals.

In addition, students can incorporate JROTC and internships into a four-year program. Most of the high school plans include opportunities to earn college credit and industry certification. Information related to industry certifications is found below. For more information on college courses and ways to earn college credit while still in high school, speak with your high school counselor or visit the Career and Postsecondary Partnerships website.

Select a career from the list below to find a high school program, which schools offer it, and additional program information.
