The information for the 2023-2024 school year is currently being finalized.  Information will be posted as is it available.  All documents should be posted by early October 2023.   

Grade 8 High School Regional and Countywide Programs Timeline 2023-2024

  • September 20, 2023 - High School Preview Presentation - Broadcasted on the MCPS website 
  • October 6, 2023-  Application opens (on or about October 6) on ParentVUE
  • November 3, 2023- Application deadline
  • First Week of February 2024- Notification of results
  • February 16, 2024- Deadline to Accept a Program Invitation 
  • February 16, 2024- Deadline to appeal results (criteria-based programs only)

  • October 6, 2023-  Round 1 Application opens (expected)
  • November 3, 2023- Round 1 Application deadline 
  • January 5, 2024-  Round 2 Application opens (expected)
  • First Week of February 2024- Round 1 Notification of results
  • February 16, 2024- Deadline to Accept Round 1 Invitation
  • Mid- March 2024- Round 2 Notification of results 
  • March 16, 2024-  Round 3 Application opens (expected)
