New Student and New Parent Orientation

Hello, Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School community! 

New Student Orientation - We are so excited to be welcoming students into the building for an in-person orientation for all our Barons who are new to Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School! This orientation is open to all incoming 9th, as well as any new 10th,  11th, and 12th graders. The orientation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 7:20-11:30 am at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. There is no need to register for this event since all incoming ninth-grade students and students new to B-CC in grades 10-12 are welcome.  Busses will run their regular schedule and will drop students off in front of the school.  A link to the bus schedule will be shared when available.  Parents who are driving their students to new student orientation should drop them off and pick them up at the Chelton Street entrance to the building or use the Pearl Street entrance to the parking garage.  Each student will receive a Chromebook, participate in a welcome assembly, and meet each of their teachers during this orientation.  This is a student-only event and will conclude at 11:30 am.

New Student Tours will be held from 11 am - 1 pm on Tuesday, August 15th, and Thursday, August 17th for 9th-grade students and students in grades 10-12 who are new to B-CC. These student tours are for new students only. Interested students should use SignUpGenius to select their desired time.  If the timeslot you prefer is filled, consider another timeslot with the possibility of being added to a group starting around the same time.  The tours are scheduled to begin every 15 minutes, but if we have enough student guides, there may be an opportunity to slide into another group.

New Parent Meeting will be held from 6:00 - 7:00 pm in the B-CC High School auditorium.  This informational session will be for parents who are new to B-CC this year.  Come out and receive information from the school administration, school counselors, The B-CC High School Education Foundation, the athletic department, and others with information to share.  We look forward to seeing you at the New Parent Meeting! Los recorridos para nuevos estudiantes se llevarán a cabo de 11 a. m. a 1 p. m. el martes 15 de agosto y el jueves 17 de agosto para estudiantes de 9.° grado y estudiantes de 10.° a 12.° grado que son nuevos en B-CC. Estos recorridos para estudiantes son solo para estudiantes nuevos. Los estudiantes interesados ​​deben usar SignUpGenuis para seleccionar la hora deseada. Si la franja horaria que prefiere está llena, considere otra franja horaria con la posibilidad de agregarse a un grupo que comience aproximadamente a la misma hora. Se llevará a cabo una reunión de padres nuevos de 6:00 p. m. a 7:00 p. m. en el auditorio de Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School. Esta sesión informativa será para los padres que son nuevos en B-CC este año. Venga y reciba información de la administración escolar, los consejeros escolares, la Fundación de Educación de la Escuela Secundaria B-CC, nuestro departamento deportivo y otros con información para compartir.
