The School
Blake High School is a public high school that serves approximately 1,784 students in grades 9-12. Our student body is approximately 41% Black or African American, 33% Hispanic/Latino, 12% White, 10% Asian, Less than 5% Multiple Races, less than 5% American Indian or Alaskan Native, and less than 5% Other Pacific Islander. Blake offers a comprehensive academic program with a signature program in a variety of classes in visual arts, dance, music, theater, contemporary arts and humanities courses to students. Blake also provides students the opportunity to take rigorous courses offering over 20 Advanced Placement Courses. The Community
Blake High School is located in a suburban community 15 miles north of Washington, D.C. and serves an income diverse community. The suburban population is a mixture of older established communities and areas with newer housing developments.

The Northeast Consortium
Blake High School is one of three high schools in the Northeast Consortium. Each school offers a comprehensive high school curriculum and a distinctive signature program focusing on particular areas of study. Students residing within the Northeast Consortium may select the high school they attend.
