College Visits

Juniors and Seniors are welcome to attend any of the college admissions rep visits held at Blake. These visits usually take place in the College & Career Center unless otherwise noted.

Students must sign up on Naviance Student, student.naviance.com/blake, at least one day in advance of a visit, print out the Confirmation Page and take it to be signed by their teacher.  This is their pass.*

College Campus Visits

Juniors & Seniors may request up to 5 school absences per year for college campus visits, but it is their responsibility to make up all classwork missed. The parent must send in a note to the attendance office a week in advance stating that the student will be out of school for a college campus tour/information session. The principal approves these absences, provided the student is in good academic standing.

Albert Einstein H.S. College Fair

Philadelphia Architecture & Design College Fair

AKA College Fair

MCPS - HBCU College Fair - United Negro College Fund

Jan. 24, 6-8 pm - @ The Universities at Shady Grove, 9640 Gudelsky Drive, Rockville MD, Building II.

All high school students (grades 9-12) are encouraged to attend along with parents. Eligible Seniors will be able to participate in on-the-spot admissions interviews beginning at 3:30 pm, if they bring completed college applications or do them online, transcripts, test scores & recommendations (if required). Fifty HBCUs are expected to exhibit and financial aid advice is available. See Mrs. Prochnow in the Blake Career Center if you plan to participate in on-site interviews.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY NATIONAL COLLEGE FAIR

March 31 and April 1, 2020 - @ Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg, MD
Blake Juniors are invited to attend this annual field trip from 9:45-noon at the Montgomery County fairgrounds.   Permission forms will be made available in March. MCPS provides school buses to transport students  and students should bring a bag lunch. Students will register online and print out a barcode and return it and the permission slip to the Counseling Office.   (instructions on the back of the permission form). This is an opportunity to speak with college representatives from hundreds of colleges and gather viewbooks. Colleges That Change Lives College Fair
