In Physical Education we develop students' physical fitness, creative movement, and fundamental motor skills. The development of self-esteem, social skills, and safety awareness are also incorporated into our program.
At Burning Tree students develop their skills through individual, partner, and small/large group activities. The use of guided discovery allows students to work in their cognitive as well as their physical domain. Students often use stations to practice their skills in a noncompetitive environment. To allow each student to reach success and also challenge themselves, many levels of difficulty are presented in each activity.
The goal at Burning Tree is to have each student leave with a positive attitude about physical fitness and the skills to keep them physically active for life.
