In School College Visits Begin September 2018
Representatives from approximately 200 colleges and universities visit the Churchill College/Career Center each year, most of these visits occur between early September and early November. Juniors and Seniors are invited to attend the college programs. Students must sign up at least one day in advance of the appointment. Students sign up for participation in the sessions within their Naviance account under "What's new" then scroll down to "See more" then register for the desired session. The online visit confirmation received through Naviance should be used as a pass, either print out a copy or display on your phone.
Students must have classroom teacher permission before missing a class to attend one of the college information sessions. Lunch time visits are open to students in all grades, no passes are required for lunch time visits, however, students should sign up.

Open Houses
On-campus open houses are a great way to get a feel of how well a certain school suits you. At an Open House, the day will be organized to allow you to tour the campus and speak with a variety of students and faculty from different departments. A live visit does much more than any web site, virtual tour, brochure, or pamphlet can ever do. Some things to keep in mind are as follows:
- Contact the admissions office beforehand by phone, e-mail, or online to reserve your space at the open house.
- Make a list of questions you do not want to forget to ask.
- Always try to talk to current students on campus. Take the opportunity to ask them any questions you have.
- Look for over-night open house opportunities.
- Ask ahead of time for an opportunity to sit in in a class
