High School Credits
In order to graduate high school in the State of Maryland, students must complete, among other requirements, either two years of foreign language plus electives, OR complete two credits of advanced technology plus electives, OR complete a state-approved career pathway program.

The program in Network Operations will allow you the option of meeting either the advanced technology requirement option or the requirement for a state-approved career pathway program option! Network Operations is approved by the Maryland State Department of Education for advanced technology education credit AND it is an approved career pathway program!

To qualify as a Career Pathway Program completer, students at Clarksburg High School would take the three double-period sequence of Network Operations courses (course codes 4242/4243/4244) plus their choice of one additional credit in either programming, Web site development, Network Operations Guided Research, or Internship. Thomas Edison High School of Technology (TEHST) would take a triple-period one-year sequence of Network Operations (course codes 4204/4203) plus their choice of one additional credit in either programming, Web site development, Network Operations Guided Research, or Internship.
