KMS Summer Mailing 1
Dear Kingsview Families:
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I hope you are enjoying the summer reconnecting with family and friends. I also hope you are looking forward to the start of a new year. It has been an exciting summer thus far. I have worked with my incredible administrative and leadership teams to hire great staff who are committed to providing students with quality instruction every day. I look forward to collaborating with students, parents, and staff to continue our legacy of excellence and build on our achievement in the upcoming year.
FIRST DAY – We are very excited to welcome all of our students on Monday, August 28th. We are excited to have a typical experience as masks are not required to enter the building. However, students can choose to wear a mask to enter the building. All students will report directly to their homerooms by 8:15 a.m. in order to receive their schedules and other important information. Posters containing homeroom lists will be displayed around the school, and the information will be available in the Back-to-School Resource Bank on the Kingsview website in mid-August.
SCHOOL SCHEDULE – Classes will begin at 8:15 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. Students should arrive between 7:50 a.m. and 8:05 a.m. Please note that students are not able to enter the school each morning until 7:50 a.m. Staff members are not available before 7:50 a.m. to supervise students. Students should be picked up by 3:15 p.m.
ORIENTATION DAY - We are very excited to welcome incoming 6th grade students, as well as 7th and 8th grade students new to the Kingsview MS building, on Thursday, August 24, 2023, from 8:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Students are encouraged to participate to learn about the school and to ensure a smooth transition on the first day. This is NOT a drop-in event. All students who participate will be expected to remain in school for the entire orientation.
UPCOMING EVENTS - There are several summer events you don't want to miss. Please check out the Upcoming Events page and mark your calendars!

I am happy to announce the members of our administrative team! This school year, Ms. Anita O’Neill, formerly an assistant principal at Blake High School, has joined our staff as a principal intern. As a principal intern, Ms. O’Neill will perform the duties of an assistant principal while simultaneously shadowing the principal and preparing for her future role as a principal. I am excited and pleased to accept this professional opportunity to serve as a trainer and believe that our school and community will provide an excellent environment to prepare a future principal.
This school year, Ms. Sohee Cho will be the 6th grade administrator; Ms. Anita O’Neill will be the 7th grade administrator; and Mr. Matthew Freiman will be the 8th grade administrator. Ms. Cho, Ms. O’Neill, Mr. Freiman, and I look forward to working together to serve you in the upcoming year!
