At Maryvale Elementary, our counseling program seeks to support the academic, personal and social needs of each student through collaboration with parents, community, staff, and administration. Each student will have the opportunity to participate in classroom guidance lessons, individual and group counseling sessions, and related support services in order to ensure that all students develop into respectful, responsible, and determined learners that are equipped to lead fulfilling lives as empathetic and responsible members of our diverse society. As your school counselor I am committed to helping students develop skills necessary to communicate effectively and to self-advocate in order to prepare for grade level and life transitions through developmental school counseling. At Maryvale, we believe that all students have the right to feel safe, supported, and empowered in order to achieve successes in school and life.
