MCPS Environmental Sustainability News and Updates
The MCPS Environmental Sustainability Student Town Hall held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 was a huge success! Over 300 students joined the town hall meeting and many more joined on YouTube to learn about the proposed MCPS Sustainability Policy and the tremendous work that MCPS is doing to ensure environmental sustainability and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). Many of the great questions from raised by the students on facilities operations and green features in school buildings, environmental education, electric school buses and efficient transportation, and reducing food waste were answered by MCPS staff during the event.
