Our mission is to engage students and staff in 21st century learning by creating effective and ethical users of information and technology. Through a love of reading, we will empower students to become critical thinkers, life-long learners, and productive members of our global community.
Right to Read
Seven Locks Students Have the Right to…

-Check out books and magazines, so long as they are respectful and responsible with them.
-A safe environment where they can express their own opinions and intellectual ideas.
-Ask questions, make requests, and receive help from the library.
-Be protected from harmful content by learning internet safety.
-Positive relationships with fellow students, staff, and members of our school community.
-Become a confident, independent, life-long reader.
Intellectual Freedom Statement:
"ALA actively advocates in defense of the rights of library users to read, seek information, and speak freely as guaranteed by the First Amendment. A publicly supported library provides free and equal access to information for all people of that community. We enjoy this basic right in our democratic society. It is a core value of the library profession." - American Library Association
