Understanding what you need to do to become ready for college is sometimes the toughest part of the preparations. You can take many steps that will help you prepare for college. The Maryland Higher Education Commission's web site is a good starting point .
The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) publishes the "Step to College" online newsletter. This free online newsletter for college-bound students and their parents focuses on career planning and on the role parents can play in the college-admission process.
