Admission Process (Regional/countywide programs)

Information for the 2022-2023 school year

  • January 19, 2023 - Centers for Enriched Studies Parent Presentation - Recording available on CES page.
  • No Application necessary for current MCPS students.  All grade 3 MCPS students will be centrally reviewed.
  • Late Spring  2023- Notification of results

Middle School Regional Programs Timeline

  • November 2, 2022 - Middle School Magnet (Criteria Based) Parent Presentation - Livestreamed on MCPS website
  • No Application necessary for current MCPS students.  All grade 5 MCPS students will be centrally reviewed.
  • Mid January  2023- Notification of results

Grade 8 High School Regional and Countywide Programs Timeline

  • September 21, 2022 - High School Preview Presentation - Broadcast on the MCPS website (available 9/21/22)
  • October 7, 2022-  Application opens on ParentVUE
  • November 11, 2022- Application deadline (deadline extended, from November 4, 2022)
  • First Week of February 2023- Notification of results
