The Board of Investment Trustees is responsible for the investment and management of the assets of the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) retirement and pension plans. Major responsibilities of the trustees include maintenance of the investment policy statement and asset allocation guidelines, performance monitoring, and investment manager selection.
The Board of Investment Trustees consists of 11 members. One trustee serves by virtue of his or her position within MCPS. This ex officio member is the associate superintendent of finance. Ten trustees are nominated by the superintendent and are appointed for three-year terms by the Board of Education.
The Board of Investment Trustees meets quarterly, with additional meetings as required.
The Board of Investment Trustees will meet from 8:00 a.m. until noon (unless otherwise noted) via videoconference or in person. The meeting dates and locations are as follows:
