Fall Leadership Institute

Are you a high schooler interested in developing your leadership and mentorship skills?

Join MoCo EmpowHER’s Fall Leadership Institute! Our mission is to foster a strong community of girls across the county so as to create a safe space to discuss sexual assault, sexism, and other gender-based discrimination. Over the course of three months, participants will attend bi-weekly workshops, both virtual and in-person, that will be centered around refining leadership skills through lessons on public speaking, team dynamics and communication, and organization and accordingly through lessons on intersectionality, implicit bias, sexism in the media, and gender inequality and women's rights issues.

Not to mention, participants will have a chance to join us in an in-person get together at the end of the program for the sake of celebrating all that they have worked for and achieved with the tools we’ve equipped them with! Apply to the Leadership Institute using this link!

College Prep Panel

MoCo EmpowHER is starting off the year with a College Prep Panel on Tuesday, September 26th from 6-7:30 pm over Zoom! This event is ideal for anyone interested in learning more about the college application process. The meeting will feature a panel of EmpowHER alumni who have been through the college application process and are currently attending college.
