Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is planning a multiyear effort to provide all students with access to mobile computers and a cloud-based learning platform that will enhance creativity and collaboration in the classroom. Students in Grades 3, 5, and 6, as well as those in high school social studies classes, will begin using the technology in the classroom during the 2014-2015 school year. The initiative will expand in the following years.
The MCPS Strategic Technology Plan outlines the multiyear strategies and actions required to reimagine teaching and learning in a digital age. The 2014-2016 technology plan is aligned to the Montgomery County Board of Education’s mission, vision and core values, and supports the district’s commitment to prepare all students to thrive in their future.
