Stone Mill Elementary School has been selected a 2023 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE). The winners were announced on Sept. 19.
The National Hispanic College Fair will be held on Friday, Oct. 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Bohrer Park Community Center in Gaithersburg. This annual event sponsored by the National Hispanic College Fair and MCPS for all students is FREE.
Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. Throughout the month, MCPS schools will be celebrating the unique culture and traditions of students, teachers, staff and community members who trace their roots to Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries in North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

School staff, central office staff, students and parents will all have Remind accounts to enable them to send and/or receive messages using a preferred mode of communication, such as text message, email or phone call and in their preferred language.
