Principal's Corner
Welcome to Wyngate and the upcoming 2023-2024 school year! I am beyond excited to usher in the new year as Wyngate's new principal. My educational career has spanned 21 years and taken me from the D.C. Metro area, to Cambridge, MA, to Cape Town, South Africa, and now back home. I have been an elementary and middle school principal for the past 11 years both in DCPS (District of Columbia Public Schools) and in Cape Town at The American International School.
My charge at Wyngate is to ensure that all students, regardless of background, are able to achieve at the very highest of levels, both academically but also socially and emotionally. At Wyngate we value the social and emotional learning and wellbeing of our students just as much as their academic progress. The two go hand in hand.
I look forward to meeting many of the Wyngate community members, but once again, welcome to Wyngate and the upcoming 2023-2024 school year!
