Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC)
The Junior Reserve Officers Training Corp (JROTC) program develops citizenship, leadership, self-discipline, and sets forth a foundation for success. Students may select either the Army JROTC program offered at Magruder High School, or the Navy JROTC program offered at Gaithersburg, Kennedy, Paint Branch, and Seneca Valley high schools. Absolutely no military obligation is required; however, upon graduation, students can gain advanced military pay grades. Reserve Officer Training Corp and military academy scholarships may be available for qualified students.

TranZed Academy for Working Students (TAWS)
TranZed Academy for Working Students (TAWS) offers MCPS seniors who have paying jobs a path toward career and college through a combination of flexible academic schedules, career coaching. and career preparation. To learn more about this program option click here.
